Carving Course: A Return to Manual Skills

This course is an invitation to rediscover the manual skills that have accompanied man throughout history, allowing him to create simple, useful and often fundamental objects.

Carving, while not the oldest of the acquired skills, is certainly one of the most ancient. Thanks to cutting tools – first stones, then blades – man was able to survive and prosper, by making weapons and tools. Over time, this skill was refined to the point that carving became a decorative technique used to embellish objects and homes, without neglecting its use in sacred contexts.

Since its appearance, carving has always been part of human life. Until a few decades ago, anyone could make simple objects for everyday use, such as spoons, bowls and cups. Only recently has the value of manual skills seemed to be lost.

For this reason, we offer an intensive course to rediscover the pleasure of creating with your own hands.
